Day 4 – Neu Schwanstein, Austria, Switzerland to Italy

The morning was absolutely gorgeous! We wandered by the lake a long time before having breakfast and driving a few kilometers to the famous Schloss Neu Schwanstein. We hadn’t counted on busloads of Chinese and long lines everywhere. We ended up walking up to the castle and down again, and headed off towards the magical Alps! Traversing the Passo del Stelvio at 2700 meters and seeing more beautiful views than during the whole year, we settled down late in the evening north of Lago di Como north of Milano at a camping with a suitable name, camping Deserto.
